“A suitcase and a dream – that’s how my adventure began! Back in April 2012, I took a leap of faith and left the Philippines for the UAE.
Even before graduating from college, I knew I wanted to explore opportunities abroad. It wasn’t all smooth sailing, but my upbeat outlook and strong focus kept me going.
Leaving my family behind to work in a distant place allowed me to gain new skills, make wonderful friends, and grow as a person. It’s where I also met my husband, Errol King, and together we’ve decided to start a new chapter in another country after almost a decade in Dubai.
Amid the challenges of the pandemic, I decided to pursue another vocational certificate. I can still recall my professor asking, “Why do you want to study this course?” and I replied, “I want to go to the UK.” Call it manifesting my dreams or just making things happen, but I believe where there’s a will, there’s a way!

So here I am, currently living in the UK. Despite all the challenges we’ve faced, we both made it here!
In the spring of 2024, we visited Dorset in the south of England, where we went glamping with my sister’s family and friends. I remember sitting by the bonfire, feeling inspired—I told myself, “I want to write, I want to inspire! I want to share! I want to spread the LOVE!”
